Slow Mob cover and illustrations

I worked on the illustrations for Denis Trusov’s book in August 2021, during a holiday with my wife and child in a small village near Kielce, in the Świętokrzyskie region. We stayed in a quiet place surrounded by fields, and I had access to an old barn with huge wooden gates. I turned it into a temporary studio — a wide, echoing space where the light shifted slowly throughout the day. Drawing there was a pleasure: calm, focused, almost meditative. The illustrations and the cover came together beautifully in that setting. Unfortunately, I wasn’t involved in the book’s layout, so the final design choices were made without my input.
